Construction of a new dog house at the Würzberg Animal Shelter

Fill 100x100 default

The Animal Shelter in Michelstadt-Würzberg, Germany, is badly in need of a new dog house to replace the 1960's wooden building. In the new dog house, dogs will be kept in small groups. The shelter is a no-kill shelter.

The Animal Shelter in Michelstadt-Würzberg, a no-kill German shelter, was originally built in the 1960's. The building is a wooden construction without aircondition, so it is very hot in the summer, while it takes a lot of effort and money for heating in the winter.

After half a decade of preparation (and overcoming loads of bureaucratic hurdles) we are finally just a few days from receiving the official permission to build a new dog house. The new building will be made from stone; it will be energy efficient and modern in every possible way - enabling the Tierschutzverein Odenwald to finally keep the dogs in small groups.

The first construction phase will include both the main building as well as the construction of a small sewage plant.
