Hello Alberto,

thanks for your interest in our project!

In fact we could use the receiced funds from this campaign as well the donations of defect bicycles and spare parts to repair and hand over approx. 40 bicycles between 2016 and 2017.

Currently we still keep this campaign open until we receive significant funds to re-establish further repair activities to close the gap of our target. In best case new funds could help us to buy again a significant amount of defect bicycles to repair them.

We have certain sources to buy those defect bicycles, for instance lost bicycles sold by the lost-and-found offices of cities and communes up to 200 kilometers around our repair workshop. Furthermore we need to finance the transportation, except we could find once again a carrier who will not charge the costs of transportation. As well we need to finance the spare parts. Additionally we have recognised that we need to pay small financial incentives for one or two refugees with some technical experience, to organise the repair work as well to help us to communicate the availability of our offer towards other refugees. Furthermore these guys are perfect to motivate further voluntary helpers.

To be precise to answer your question. Yes we still need funds to proceed to reach our target we have described in this campaign.

Hopefully i could answer your question. Don't hesitate to contact me personally under my email adress "thorsten.vocks@offenherz.de".

... bislang kenne ich persönlich diese Projekte noch nicht. Ich werde mir einmal Eure Projekte anschauen. Sicherlich kann es gerne einen Austausch geben. An was denkst Du dabei konkret ?

Hallo Thorsten,
kennst Du soliRADisch aus Magdeburg, Rückenwind und Bikeygees aus Berlin oder Bikeswithoutborders aus Karlsruhe?
Vielleicht können wir uns austauschen?
Viele Grüße aus MD!
