At last, more relief aid is being allowed into the country, which helps to improve the devastation. Nevertheless, more aid is needed than is presently available. To coordinate the distribution of the relief packages, CARE works closely with the United Nation’s World Food Program (WFP).We are receiving shocking reports from our on site action forces: In the small village of Gaw Dui, only 80 of its 500 inhabitants have survived, and amongst them no children survived. In the city of Pyin Se Lu, only 500 of its 10.000 inhabitants survived the disaster. To give the people of Burma a horizon, we need more donations.
