Hill Tribe Girls Accepted at College, Now We Need to Fund Them
Through March 2020 we funded 19 girls in higher education. Five graduated from university and additional girls have started high school. There was a six weeks delay in the start of the school year due to the COVID 19 lockdown, but tuitions needed to be paid and some classes started up remotely. With the new school year, starting July 1, these funds will be used to help cover our monthly cost for 15 girls. Higher education at the university level costs from Eur 3000 to Eur 5000 per year (per student) living and tuition expenses). High school students lose government subsidies for meals, exams, uniforms, and pay an additional Eur 1000 per year.
