About this project

On behalf of the community, we propose a 10,000-tree multi-layered, native forest planted on rural commons land in Village Satoli, Uttarakhand, North India.

Land rights belong to the local community. These common lands are an integral part of rural mountain life and a major source of fuel and fodder for these communities. By reviving these degraded rural commons, we can add real value to the region by securing basic livelihoods of locals and reviving native biodiversity.
