Wildlife Action Group International e.V.

managed by G. Kloeble

About us

The roots of the Wildlife Action Group International e.V. go back to the Wildlife Action Group in Malawi / Africa which was also founded 1994 by Susanne Kneissl and Georg Kloeble to act on the fast dwindling wildlife populations and the fact that there was no NGO which could convince Government with facts and figures about the seriousness of the degradation of Malawi's flora and fauna. With Malawian friends and supporters, even in high Government circles, slowly changes became visible.
In cooperation with the Malawi Department of Forestry, the Wildlife Action Group initiated 1996 the Elephant Protection Project of the Thuma Forest Reserve, which covers today about 50 000 Hectares is probably the best protected Forest Reserve in Malawi. With this and many other projects, the Wildlife Action Group could proof that even small organizations can actively and professionally manage wildlife protction projects and contribute to income generation in rural areas.
The Wildlife Action Group International e.V. was founded to support existing projects in Africa, but also supports and advises other conservation efforts anywhere in the developing world.
We are also focusing now on Asia and in particular Vietnam! Here we could gain valuable knowledge about the situation by working and living there over the past years!
The Wildlife Action Group International e.V. ( www.wildlifeactiongroup.org) is a registered Charity in Germany.

Dear donors,
when managers of a project haven't requested a payout over the course of a longer period, the German law and our terms of use provide that we (gut.org gemeinnützige AG, operator of betterplace.org) use the money for our tax-deductible purposes. The same applies to the cancellation of a project, where the manager of the project is unable to realize it.
Therefore we will use these donations for the following purposes
Thanks for your support,
the betterplace.org-team
