About us
The Technische Hilfswerk is a federal agency within the portfolio of the Federal Ministry of the Interior, for Building and Home Affairs. It provides technical support in particular at request of the authorities responsible for prevention in the performance of their tasks and at request of the highest federal authorities, if the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Home Affairs agrees.
Technical support includes, in particular, technical assistance in civil defense, operations and measures abroad on behalf of the Federal Government, combating disasters, public emergencies and major accidents at the request of the authorities responsible for hazard prevention, as well as support services and measures that the technical relief organization has agreed upon take over.
Donations from the THW project listed here are accepted by the THW Foundation as part of the THW family and implemented only for specific purpose.

Neustart für die Jugendarbeit nach der Corona-Pandemie
Durch die Spenden wurden Petromax-Starklichlaternen für die Jugendgruppen der THW-Ortsverbände angeschafft. Damit soll die so wichtige Jugendarbeit im THW unterstützt und wertgeschätzt werden. Die Petromax mit einer Lichtleistung von mehr als 400 Watt verbindet Starklicht-Technik mit nostalgischem Design und schafft eine besondere Atmosphäre. Darüber hinaus stellt sie eine Verbindung zur THW-Geschichte dar, denn sie gehörte seit Gründung des THW vor 70 Jahren bis in die 90er Jahre zur Grundausstattung.
