About us
VUGA e.V. is a non-profit association speaking up for joined cross-cultural cooperation. To put that into practice, we insist in working as a team and great respect.
VUGA is a word in Luganda (most common language in the central south of Uganda) and means "moving forward" or just "driving". It stands for the motivation and excitement with which we got received in Uganda and from which we have learned for our future work.
The German part of VUGA consists of former volunteers, who gathered experiences for their lives in Uganda and who want to keep on working with their Ugandan friends and colleagues.
We are unified by the ambition of a mutual exchange. With our experiences and attitudes we want to communicate and organize. We hope, that we soon can, besides the stories of German volunteers in Uganda, also report about Ugandan volunteers in Germany.

Der Plan für den Kauf der Maschinen hat sich geändert. Ich fahre gemeinsam mit jemanden, der sich mit den Maschinen auskennt, nach Kampala und kaufe alles auf einmal. Das ist weniger kompliziert und günstiger im Hinblick auf Transportkosten.
