About us
Handicap International / Humanity & Inclusion (HI) is a non-profit organisation for humanitarian action and development assistance, active in over 60 countries around the world. We aspire to a world of solidarity and inclusion. We strive to sustainably improve the situation of persons with disabilities and support those in need of specific protection. Furthermore, we advocate for a world without cluster bombs and mines, as well as for the protection of civilians in war. HI is a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Price of 1997. Handicap International e.V. is the German association of the HI.

Liebe Unterstützer*innen,
ganz herzlichen Dank für eure Spende mit denen wir auch weiterhin Menschen helfen können, die aus Syrien nach Jordanien und den Libanon geflohen Sind.
Eure Hilfe ermöglicht, dass wir verletzten Menschen wie Maryam Reha und Prothesen neuen Lebensmut schenken können. Das Mädchen war mit ihrer Familie auf dem Markt, als plötzlich eine gewaltige Explosion ihr rechtes Bein zerschmetterte. Um Maryams Leben zu retten, musste ihr Bein amputiert werden. Ihr Vater floh daraufhin mit Maryam und ihrer Mutter nach Irbid in Jordanien, um Hilfe für das Mädchen zu suchen. In Irbid trafen Sie auf unser Team und nur fünf Monate nach der Amputation tanzt Maryam auf der Einweihungsfeier unseres Rehabilitationszentrums in Irbid.
