CHIDIDI TECHNICAL SKILLS SUPPORT PROJECT

Chididi Technical Skills Support project is the brain child of Sustainable Rural Community Development Organistion (SURCOD) which is aiming at mobilising resources which can enable the organisation to establish a Technical Centre in Chididi which will build the capacity of the poor women and the youth of Chididi in various skills such as tailoring, bricklaying, carpentry and tinsmith. SURCOD is an organisation registered in Malawi on 17 th May, 2010. Currentry we are implementing Chididi Women Capital Building Project which is the programme which is aiming at building the capacity economically through promoting the saving spirit.The programme started in January this year and so far we are working with 300 women, As a way of increasing the savings we would like to spice up with various Technical Skills which will also target the youth. The project is expected to transform the lives of over 10,000 youth and 5000 women. The money realised in this fundraising will be used to procure tools as well as the construction of skills training centre
