What’s it about

This year I have decided to use the attention on my birthday for the good cause.
If you want to make me very happy and simultaneously help people in Togo improve their living conditions, please donate for my project instead of sending me gifts.
The aim of the project, which is lead by my contact person Mr. Biosse, is the education of women in the rural areas and the construction of a school in Vogan, Togo, where I have passed a development traineeship in spring 2010. A big part of the school is already finished, as you can see on the pictures.

Every single € counts (to make it clear to you: one of the teachers educating the women earns only 30€ per month!) and will contribute to 100% to the project. For example 17 Bags of cement for plastering of the outside walls for 100€.

Kampf dem Analphabetismus bei Frauen!: 149,00 €
Liebe Spender!
Ich habe mich entschieden, das gespendete Geld in Schulbänke zu stecken. Die Schule für die Frauen steht kurz vor der Fertigstellung, sogar Tafeln sind schon vorhanden.
Was jedoch für den Ablauf des Unterrichts noch fehlen würde, sind Schulbänke. Diese kosten 23€ das Stück. Das macht bei den gespendeten 149€ insgesamt fast 7 Schulbänke auf denen also 14 Frauen platz haben werden!
Ich hoffe, ihr seid auch ein bisschen stolz auf euch. Ich jedenfalls bin es und danke euch. Wenn es euch interessiert, werdet ihr hoffentlich bald Fotos der Schule inklusive Bänke zu sehen bekommen. Das dürfte allerdings noch 1-2 Monate dauern, bis der Schreiner die Bänke fertiggestellt hat (die Togolesen sind ja eher gemütlich).
