2021: A bad year for Food hunger crisis
The UN World Food Programme's live Hunger Map aggregates 957 million people across 93 countries who do not have enough to eat.
The food crisis has been worsened by the COVID crisis. The COVID-19 crisis is a highly globalized and dynamic issue that cannot be contained in one region and hence we see the impact of it in low-income countries where people struggled to get their meals.
Countries should invest in long-term solutions to end this crisis and make sure every child has nutritious food at their table.
