What’s it about
"To help save lives and provide hope for refugees and underdeveloped communities in Africa by improving provisions for healthcare, clean water, education and socio-economic development."
Each month we bring a group of refugee women to our clinic, which is about 80 kilometers from the Kyangwali Refugee Camp in Uganda. (UNHCR)
The women are chosen by community leaders and pastors. They are the ones that have been suffering with illnesses and diseases for many years.
Some of the diseases that are treated are typhoid, malaria, UTIs, STDs and Brucellosis. There is no other options for these women in the camp so treatment is very crucial for them.
In order to continue, we need at least 1.5 million Ugandan shillings per month or approximately $700 a month (442 British Pounds). This will treat 15 to 20 mothers. Think Humanity can even provide the majority of the medications. This will cover transportation from the camp and back, food, paying a doctor and nurses, ultrasounds and x-rays.
Think Humanity is a 501C3 nonprofit organization. The Think Humanity Community Health Centre is registered with the Ugandan Ministry of Health.
Thank you.
