Thanks a million to all you lovely donors and supporters who have enabled the children of Pantanal and Santa Emilia and their families such a fantastic Christmas Party!

In total more than 300 visitors have enjoyed themselves, the fun activities and the food! Without you thus would not have been possible, Thanks!!!

Owing to your donations and the energetic support of our helpers we were able to organise many great activities and things:

-       100 little Gift Bags: the colourful bags were filled with yummy Cajetas ( local sweets made of coco or  milk),  juicy fruits, a Chicha ( a typical sweet corn drink) and a colourful bamboo flute.

-       Piñatas: Our office volunteer and energetic helper Dominique got out of her way to craft such beautiful and resilient Piñatas and to finally fill them with a lot of yummy sweets – aren’t they awesome ?

-       Face Painting and Recycled crafts: Thanks to the energetic support of our lovely office volunteers Maria and Dominique many super happy tigers and butterflies were running around with crafted colourful flowers, recycled of empty plastic bottles!

-       Christmas Cookies Baking: many of our little eager helpers baked Christmas cookies for the first time – especially in such a fascinating solar oven! – and loved the whole process of measuring, kneading, cutting out and finally eating the golden biscuits! Thanks to Gabi and Doña Janet for giving them a hand!

-       Circus performance: The circus school ‘Escuela de Mimo’ gave a fantastic artistic performance that will linger in the memory not only of the little ones.

-       Music and Dance: A great Nicaraguan party should not lack loud Reggaeton music – and a dance competition!

-       Piscina: The kids loved playing in the refreshing splash pool after all the playing, dancing and Piñata fighting!

Additionally many of the visitors brought a range of typical local ( and not so local but popular) foods everybody gorged on!

As you can read and be able to see in the pictures – the Christmas party was a full success and everybody enjoyed himself!

Thank you so much to all the lovely donors and helpers!

Yours Proyecto Mosaico Team

P.s. The circus school ‘Escuela de Mimo’ organises their 6th ‘Berrinche Ambiental’ Festival this week in Granada (from January 5th until January 10th). It is an international (Street-) Artist Festival concerning environment, awareness and recycling. On the website you can find the program, why don’t you stop by if you are around? http://elberrincheambiental.blogspot.com
