Preparations for World Turtle Day 2014

Preparations for the World Turtle Day to be celebrated on August 22 have started. Twenty-two high schools have been invited and judges selected and invited. Now we are making the scaffolds that will hold the canvas for the painting contest. As canvas we use flour sacks that are available at bakeries. Once they are washed and stapled on the scaffold they will be painted white. We need one canvas per school. For the photo contest we will prepare card board on which the pictures can be posted. We still have to design and print streamers and prepare tarpaulins for the decoration of the hall. Thanks to the most recent donation we already geneated the money needed to buy the trophies for the winning teams of the Quiz Bee. Thanks to all our supportes. We will keep you posted.
