End of year thank you and update!
Here at the Mindfulness Project we wanted to take a moment to reach out to our donors with an update and a huge thank you! As you know we had a very difficult time at the project recently. However, because of all of you we were able to get back on our feet and are back in action stronger than ever!
We hit some difficult times in 2018 with surprise bills, the upkeep of 4 new puppies that we could not rehome, storm damage to many of our structures, and a quiet rainy season.
We were at the stage where we were not sure how we were going to pay our annual rent of €1000 let alone feed all our animals and buy much needed building materials.
How your donations helped!
All the donations received went directly towards solving our many problems that arose these past few months! Life is never without these challenges but together with our amazing network of friends and family we were able to overcome them and move forward.
First of all we were able to pay our rent! Yay, we didn’t have to move!
Secondly, with 4 new puppies, we wanted to make sure we were not going to get a bunch more! So we got all 4 puppies and their mother neutered. Now all our animals are fixed which means we can safely say our pack number will remain the same for some time to come!
We also had our water filter break down on us which as you can imagine, was a very urgent problem to fix. The new parts for this were not cheap but we now have safe, clean, running water at the project J
With so many volunteers to cook for, we need all the help we can get in the kitchen.
With our newly repaired rice cooker, blender and food processor, we can again make Michelin starred food in the jungle!
Finally, our very first natural building is so close to completion!
With your help, we were able to buy more soil - to make more bricks - to continue our progress with this unique and stunning building that has been affectionately called the “poo castle”. It will be our toilet and shower block J
We can't thank you all enough for your continued love and support! This means so much to us that there is a global network of people out there in the world that are still part of the Mindfulness Project. Together we can accomplish anything! We hope to keep this success going and have several more projects and ideas that we can begin working on. Let's keep it going strong and remember, every little bit helps, whether is a donation, a share or telling your friends and family about us and what you experienced here.
