A lot has been happening at the Stray Cat Sanctuary lately.
Between caring for the animals, handling vet visits, and working on our calendar project, it’s sometimes hard to share every update right away — but today, we want to tell you what’s been going on. 💛 🐾 Ipek, a street cat rescued in Istanbul by Yasemin, had a very difficult week.
She had already lost her tail in an accident, and recently her condition worsened. She developed abdominal swelling (ascites), and FIP was suspected. Treatment has started, but Yasemin believes there may be more underlying causes.
She’s doing additional tests and has now brought Ipek home to monitor and care for her closely. Sadly, Ipek is also having trouble breathing, which makes her recovery even harder.

🐶 There is also some good news:
 Our two dogs, Nadide and Nevin, are finally outdoors with more space — and are being lovingly “mentored” by Prinzess, another dog from the sanctuary who has taken them under her wing. 🧡 



But the needs remain great — veterinary costs, food, medication, and shelter expenses continue to add up every day. Please help us continue to care for Ipek and all the other animals at the sanctuary.
