Josephine Bwalya (18 years) is from Kalundu, a rural area near Lusaka, the capital of Zambia. She lives with her single mother and three younger siblings. Josephine graduated from the Matero Girls High School in 2005 with a Senior Grade 12 certificate. Josephine was nominated by the Zambian Wildlife Authority to study at the SA College of Tourism.

She is being trained in culinary art, housekeeping, front office management, food and beverages, management and entrepreneurship. Upon completion of her studies, Josephine will work in one of the Zambian Wildlife Authority national parks. She dreams of owning her own lodge in Zambia. In the meantime she will be supporting her mother and her younger siblings contributing towards their education.

    Josephine is studying different aspects of small accommodation management that includes culinary art, housekeeping, front office management and entrepreneurship. 80% of SA College for Tourism students are employed after graduation.
