This is the heart of our work: we support 100 orphans and abandoned children in Lomé making a regular attendance of school possible by paying the school fees and the school material since 2006. We hold a school-canteen where the children receive two daily meals since 2007. The children are not living in orphan-houses but in a familiar milieu with aunts, uncles, older sisters. For their tutors we create income by giving micro credits since 2006. We have built up a social health-station in 2008 for the population in in this quarter.
We accompany school-project-days in Germany letting the pupils and teachers reflect their image of Africa and initiate solidarity among the pupils. We name the reasons that cause the African misery and stand for a real change. In 2007 we created a friendship between 2 schools with
letter-exchange and even live-chats between the togolese and german children.
