*stars of tomorrow is a private development aid initiative. Our concrete work focuses on a single country: South Africa. Founded during the 2006 Football World Cup in Germany, our campaign aims to provide at least 2010 local children with direct, practical and sustainable projects by the 2010 World Cup that help them help themselves. We make both symbolic and very concrete use of major football motifs such as fair play, team spirit, and a strong sense of solidarity, because: Football is movement. Football is fun. Football is life! That is why children around in the world love this game. And we are using this tangible delight to improve the conditions of life for the *stars of tomorrow.
Together with local partners, we are launching aid projects with a football theme. Our main areas of activity focus include health issues such as providing information about HIV/AIDS, and assistance such as taking street children and orphans into the *stars of tomorrow supervisory program free of charge. Join us in helping our little *stars and support our projects!

    Mit dem heutigen Tag, 4.3.09 möchte ich eine Unterstützungskampagne beginnen, um das Projekt zu unterstützen und im Sommer 2010 während der Fußballweltmeisterschaft mit anderen zu besuchen.
    Auf unterschiedlichen Gebieten habe ich mich um Fördergelder bemüht:
    1. Straßensammlung am 1. Dezember 2008 anlässlich des Welt-AIDS-Tages
    2. Schülerinnen haben bei Betrieben gearbeitet und das verdiente Geld auf ein Spendenkonto eingezahlt.
    3. Eine Schularbeitsgemeinschaft an der Realschule Emden hat Fußball gespielt und die Teilnehmergebühren auf das Spendenkonto eingezahlt.
    4. Aktionen für die Zukunft - Wünsche
    a) Kontaktaufnahme zu Jugendlichen in oder in der Nähe von Pretoria - per Post oder per Email
    b) Kontaktaufnahme zu den Verantwortlichen und Bildung einer Partnerschaft mit den ProjektleiterInnen.
    c) Durchführung von Aktionen in Form von sportlichen oder kulturellen Veranstaltungen.
    d) Kontakt zu einer Stiftung oder einem Sponsor, um einen Besuch in Soshanguve zu ermöglichen.
    e) Kontaktaufnahme zu Personen, die mir bei der Verwirklichung helfen können und wollen.
    Zu meiner Person: 61 Jahre, Schulleiter der Realschule in Emden. Ich habe 2006 bei der Übernahme der Schulleitung ein Versprechen abgegeben, das ich halten möchte: "Mit euch, dem Einschulungsjahrgang in den 5. Jahrgang, möchte ich 2010 zur Fußballweltmeisterschaft fahren."
