The Oarja Project

- The Oarja Project started in February 2006.
- At the beginning the blocks did not have plumbing and sewage and the yard was a garbage dump.
- In 2005, only 3 families lived there but now they are over 20 and the apartments have running water and sewage, also the yard is now clean.

At the end of 2009 we will have 31 apartments for more than 120 people.

Right now, 50 children live in the "Oarja Project" area and in 2009 there will be more than 70. On one hand these children don't have proper conditions to play near their houses, on the other hand they need to walk more than one km through a dangerous street to find a playground.

We have already raised 500 Euros, donated by the Mitte Foundation from the USA, but after analyzing offers from several companies that manufacture playground equipment, the estimated cost for the playground is 2.000 Euros. With your financial help and the support of the local government, partner families and volunteers, we will provide a safety and better environment for more than 50 children.

To complete this project we will work together with a company that is specialized in child welfare consultancy.

Habitat for Humanity Deutschland send 100% of the donated money directly to the project.
