Nicaragua: School of Comedy and Mime

leider konnte ich mir das Projekt nicht anschauen, finde die Idee aber ganz wunderbar! Ich wollte gern Kontakt zu euch aufnehmen oder euch besuchen, wenn das möglich ist!
Mein Projekt befindet sich in San Marcos und mir ist gerade ein Gedanke der möglichen Kooperation gekommen. Vielleicht könnte ich mit ein paar SchülerInnen für ein paar wenige Tage zu euch kommen, etwas "mitnehmen" (Zirkuskünste etc.) und dann hier verbreiten. Ich fände es super spannend und sehr schön. Seit fast 20 Jahren arbeite ich selbst mit Kindern und Jugendlichen im Bereich Zirkus und Theater. Als ich von dem Projekt in Nicaragua gehört habe, war ich sehr begeistert. Denn abgesehen von der großen Hilfe, die Kinder und Jugendliche dort bekommen gibt einem Zirkus und Artistik ein ganz großes Selbstvertrauen, viel Kraft und Mut. Durch meine Zirkusgruppe in Österreich kann ich da viel Erfahrungen gemacht. Zirkus macht stark.

Kennen gelernt habe ich die "Escuela de comedia y mimo" 2004, als ich drei Monate in Granada als Volontärin arbeitete. Schon damals war ich fasziniert von der kreativen Idee Diego Genés, mit der er die Kinder von der Straße holt. Seine Unterstützung der Kinder, indem er an ihre Fähigkeiten glaubt, ihre Talente fördert und ihnen so Selbstvertrauen, Selbst-bewußtsein und Zuversicht gibt, ist unnachahmlich. Er ist dabei so erfolgreich, dass er 2005 und 2007 von der Kinderkulturkarawane (Unicef- Projekt) nach Europa eingeladen wurde, um mit seiner "grupo líder" auf Tournee zu gehen. Er stellt dabei jedesmal Shows auf hohem artistischem und künstlerischem Niveau vor.
2007 war er auch zwei Tage an meiner Schule und der Eindruck, der seine Truppe bei meinen Spanisch- Schülern hinterlassen hat, kann man getrost "nachhaltig" nennen. Sie unterstützen die Artisten nun schon seit zwei Jahren, indem sie Basare veranstalten, um Geld für die Escuela zu sammeln! Das ist es, was mich an der Arbeit der Escuela so fasziniert, dass sie im Kleinen viel verändert, bei jedem einzelnen, der mit ihnen in Kontakt kommt!
Deshalb kann ich die Escuela uneingeschränkt unterstützen und empfehlen!

creative, inovative, indipendent, everytime open for new ideas, construcions and theater productions with a big respect of the envirenement. I' was in this project during some monthes and to see the evolution of this young artists gives me at a rearly motivation for our future. Whatever happens, whenever I'll be with them, they are fantastic !

I have worked with this school during my time of civil service in Nicaragua three years ago. Since then i have been in touch with them and supported whenever I could (f.e. with their website: www.escueladecomedia.org, check out to get more information about the project).
I deeply recommend this project. This is an constantly ongoing and independent project. They all are doing a great and confidential work. I guarantee for their liability.
Great shows, great people for a big change!

I know School of Comedy and Mime since June 2007. A group of young people came to Germany with Kinderkulturkarawane, and as we were looking for a group to perform on our Street Festival dedicated on children's rights, we invited this group. The performance was great, and also our discussions about culture and education, about human rights and networking. Since this time we stay in contact - and we are always happy to get e-mails with informations about the progress of the School, or about personal success of one or more of the young artists in school examens.... This project needs support and I recomend to support it: It can give new perspectives for young people. As they told me, some of the young artists I know from 2007 were in trouble before coming to the School of Comedy, hanging around with no idea what to do, wasting time, trying to steal.... As members of the project, they changed their whole life. All of them are proud to every small progress of one of their friends - and it would be great to give more children and teenagers the same possibility.
