The idea of the restaurant project arouse in 2008 as an iniciative of a group of young women in a process of social insertation who then left the street. They had many skills in the kitchen and showed a lot of interest in learning more in this time. Therefore, the Fundación started in 2009 their theorical and practical gastronomical formation with classes in a cooking school and work experience in a restaurant opened by the Fundación in August 2009 (We had to give up this space because the owner had other projects in the same house.).

For 2 months now, there is a new responsable for the restaurant project. Her Name is Judith. She studied gastronomy and hotel management. Presently, she is retaking the project with a new concept. After some market studies, she identified an adecuate zone to reopen the restaurant. With luck, we have been able to find this new place (colonial style) in a zone with many offices and banks.

The place counts on 1 spacious kitchen, 2 halls, 2 bathrooms and 1 courtyard. It is planned to serve breakfast, morning plates, lunch and afternoon plates.

The house is in „anticrético“ (system of rent, where the owner asks for an amount of money from the tenant as a loan and when the agreed time ends, the tenent gives back the house, and the owner returns the money). This permits, of course, to save the mensual payment of a rent.

The cost of the anticrético we are asked are 25.000 $. So far, we have been able to collect 10.000 $. IN ORDER TO COLLECT WHAT STILL LACKS (15.000 $), WE HAVE STARTED A CAMPAIGN. WE ARE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP TO MAKE THIS DREAM REALITY...AND TO BE ABLE TO OFFER SOME EMPLOYMENT FOR THE PEOPLE WE WORK WITH AND IN THE FUTURE TO GENERATE AS WELL AN ECONOMICAL INCOME FOR THE FUNDACIÓN.

Your donations will be transfered to the German association Sterne auf den Strassen Boliviens e.V. (http://www.estrellasenlacalle.de/) überwiesen, which transfers the donation directly to the Bolivian project.
