COMMUNITY MUSHROOM CULTIVATION PROJECT

Life in Africa Kireka a community based organization for and run by the displaced persons now living in the outskirt of Banda –Kireka commonly known as Acholi Quarters. More than 3000 families and over 9000 children are living in this place. For many years this community has depended on stone quarry works which is so tiresome. when they tried to diversfy by making paper beads, it became flooded every where and eventually the market is now seasonal because we produce what we dont consume!

With constant member meetings, the plan has changed.. and members have surveyed and concluded that they should supplement those prevoius activities with mushroom cultivation that they too are the potentail consumers. this will not only bring income to them but nutritional valve like protein, fats, vitamins to mention but few in this community. we have the space but only asking for your donations of € 650 for the project to begin Read more
