In Santrokofi Bume, a village in the Volta region, we established a place for kids to come in the afternoons. Here they can play and study, be creative and do sports far away from school routines. In the „Kids' Corner“ the children can draw and paint, participate in theatre
projects, English classes, computer classes and sport teams. Up to today more than 3000 children have taken part in those activities.
In Santrokofi many voluntary workers supervise the Ghanian children and teenagers in their free time. Because of the lack of buildings for the activities mentioned before we already built a computer school, a
library annex, a play and a sports ground.
The families in Santrokofi are often not able to afford school books and uniforms for their children. That is why we want to finance uniforms, books and copybooks for those most in need, so that they are able to send their kids to school as well.
