Emergency Haiti: Millions of people affected – Please help with your donation!
At 16.53 o’clock local time the ground in the impoverished Caribbean state quaked. 3.5 million people have been hit by this catastrophe: They all live in a radius of 50 kilometres surrounding the epicentre of the devastating earthquake. The survivors need your help! In the meantime, they were even hit by two more desasters: a tropical storm and the spreading cholera.
Many people still live in tents that cannot protect them from tropical storms and that make it difficult to live in a hygienic environment. Most of the victims are still traumatised by the earthquake in January, many lost relatives and friends or were injured themselves.
CARE has started the emergency relief immediately after the earthquake in January and is still helping in the country. Due to the cholera, it is once again important to reach the population as fast as possible. They urgently need safe drinking water, medicaments and many still need a save shelter.
Please help! The Haitian population needs the most essential: potable water, food, medicaments. Such basic measures can already save the survival of thousands of people.
