They will help us in two ways. To make aware the poor people to hospital delivery and aware about the critical time on pregnancy termination. Midwife are rural poor women, we are trying to train up as best as poosible but they doing wrong in case of counting Blood pressure and temp recording. So we decide we will train them repeatedly for few week to make them more expart.

Mid wife Training

Dear Suporter,

Thank you very much for your continueous support for our mother and child health care program. we are still now continuing our midwife program in our rural areas successfully. Recently we are trying to start  orientation class of our rural midwifes, because on our follow up we see that when are refering the patient to our hospital they have done few mistakes. Such as Counting of Blood pressure, Pulse rate, Temperature recording. So we decide to start a orientation class for each batch. This problem is arise because maximum midwife are rural women they have no good idea on this chapter. We think that our orientation class may help them.

Thank you again.

With my respect and regards

Große Not durch derzeitige Streiksituation

Heath Services- Difference between German and Bang

Hello

My dear supporter and well wisher,

I am working in Bochum an University link hospital for three months. Here I have seen two type of patient, one those who are private patient, they come to  hospital for  their treatment by their own expenses.Another type of patient those  who are under cover of insurence, they take their treatment according to their insurence law. All the expenses bear by the insurence company. Insurence company take money from patient on a monthly basis. But in Bangladesh all  treatment cost  bears by the patient. Every body knows that Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated areas. Government health service is not sufficient enough  for such huge population. Naturely maximum portion of population depended on private health services. In Bangladesh people have no health budget or have no health insurences  system for the people. So they have to bear their all heath care expenses from their own pocket. In this situtation middle class, poor and Ultra poor are suffer most. As because their income is very poor, they have no health budget. So when they go to the private hospital, they have bear the  all expenses of their tretment. In this situation their health care remain  uncare, because they have no money, they canot go to hospital as their will. Naturelly they depends on other type of old natural treatment , which is not scientific and not  medicolegal. As result complications are more, mortality and morbidity rate is more.Which is increasing with the increasing rate of population. Which alarming for our health sector also.

Hospital for Women and Child ,Habiganj, Bangladesh

Hello,

My Dear respected Supporter,

For your kind information, We are working in health sector in our areas for long times. Our areas is very much neglected due geographically and economically . one  part of our areas are hilly, very remote difficult to reach, lack of road comminucation another part are plain land.Half of the year this areas is submersed by the water, only communication is by boat. Population is about 1.7 million. male female ratio is almost same. Women are mostly unemployed and depend on men. Whole family is run under care of male member, so women are relatively uncare with their children. With this densely population there are few private hospitals are working here but lack of skill doctor, financial lackages and  instrumental deficiency they canot cover our health problem. Our maternal mortality rate is too high in comparisn to other part of our country.Due to our long experience on health sector we are now interested to establish a cheritable hospital in our areas.First of all we started our Hospital in a rented place. Hospital will be  multidisciplinery Which includes MCH(Mother &child health), Medicine, Surgery, Eye, ENT and Skin V.D.we have  already submitted our need in our profile for our hospital.I request every body to visit our profile for detail. I hope every supporter will help us.

Fellowship in Ophthalmology, Bochum, Germany.

Hello

My dear Supporter,

I am now in Langendreer, Bochum on fellowship training in Ophthalmology for three months. Here the hospital named is knappschaftskrankenhaus, it is a universitatsklinik hospital.Near about more then 100 years old. I am working under Prof .Dr.H.Burkhard Dick. Here I have seen that the Cataract surgery is one of the  most costly surgery with Lot valuable instruments are using. But in our country we have done this only 66 Euros per patient. This includes all the expenses Which includes operation cost, Medicine and Hospital cost. In Bangladesh the rate of cataract is 71.86%. Cataract  is a reversible blindness. If a cataract patient is done his operation on due time, he regain his vision near to normal. It is now very easly operation. the name of this operation is SICS(Small Incision Cataract Surgey). But there are other cataract operation which is  now running in all the big cities of the world, that is Phaco emulsification. It is abit costly operation. Our supporter will be happy enough that we are doing this SICS operation since 2000 for the poor people free of cost. I think it is very good opportunity to help the blind people to give light of his/her eyes tosee this beautiful & interesting world. In our country women are suffering most of this blindness. I have an humble request to my dearest supporter, if any one  is interested to help us to restore the vision of the poor people. either by  the  donating instruments and sending other help , please contact us.

Thank you all.

Greeting from Bochum.

Malnutrition in our District

The Actual cause of malnutrition of the children  in our areas are Poverty, Ignorance, Lack of breast feeding, Superstition, Dietery Habit, more depends on Artificial Food, Helminthesis etc. Recently on our program we add some anti helminthetic medicine to help to reduce the malnutrition some extend.Rural people agree with us that they are not aware of malnutrition. They said that it  need awareness program, because we have many natural resources such as mixture of rice, dal and vegetable, which are mixed and cook with some cooking ingredient to make it tasty for the children, locally they are called "Keechuri" which is very much nutritious food for the growing child and help to minimize malnutrition of the poor and as well as child from rich  family also.Malnutrition  of  the poor family's child are due to poverty but malnutrition from the rich family's child are due to ignorance.on our last program we have  to face many malnutrited children.
