Football for Hope Kid Selection

This week sees the selection of our four kids for the Football for Hope Festival. We are running a selection day with three schools from within Lamontville and Umlazi on Friday, which should hopefully see between two and three hundred kids from our programme attend the day.

The morning part of the session will focus on football skills, team play and most importantly fair play. During the afternoon session, the 20 best kids (in terms of footballing skills and attitude), will be tested on what they learnt during the Life Skills Course, take part in sessions and pick the two boys and two girls with the best aptitude for our course.

Kids to be selected but funding needed

We are curently in the process of selecting four kids from our programme to travel to Alexandria in July, but we need your help. Without funding we cannot send the kids, so ask that you dig deep and give generously to ensure these kids can make this once in a lifetime trip!

Football for Hope Centre Opening - December 2010

We are taking 8 kids from our programme to Cape Town for the opening of the first Football for Hope Centre near Cape Town in December. This is a prelude to Festival 2010, and have selected 8 of the kids who have shown the best attitude in class during our Life Skills porgramme. Hopefully learnings from selecting these 8 kids will help in our selection for 4 new kids early next year for Festival 2010!
