The doctors, the nurses, the medical officers and the complete team of the kwale hospital are trying to help their patients as soon and as good as possible. The lack of neccessary materials makes their work difficult.
During the past months we were able to do something for the enhancement of the working conditions and the medical standards of the hospital. But the hospital, which is responsible for about 150,000 people in Kwale District, still needs our help.
The team of doctors is faced with averaged 5 cases of rabies every 3 months. Most of the patients are infected due to dog-bites. If they are not treated they will die.
The patients needs 5 vials of vaccine (at the 1rst, 3rd, 7th, 14th and 30th day). These vials are not available in the government drugstores and the government will not pay for them. The price for each vial is 1500 KES. So you need only 7500 KES (about 75.00 EURO) to save one life.
