Fast täglich stehen Elefanten, Nashörner oder Wildschweine auf den Feldern der Bauren am Rande des kleinen Bardia Nationalparks. Natürlich sind sie erbost, aber sie wissen auch, dass diese Wildtiere einen echten Reichtum bergen, denn der Tourismus eine wichtige Einnahmequelle. Die Menschen suchen aktiv nach guten Lösungen um sowohl ihre Felder zu schützen und den Tieren nicht zu schaden. Awely unterstützt sie dabei. Awely has a philosophy focused on helping people preserve their biodiversity. Awely has been supported by Eco-Sys Action as part of a new generation of organisations that understands it is a utopian dream to hope to save endangered species without firstly considering the needs of those local communities directly concerned.
Awely is rare in its humane approach, in its work of taking projects led by gifted teams of enthusiastic staff members to the very heartland of the problems, and in constantly searching for the best possible harmony and balance between people and animals.
