G S Nkar Toilet Project, Cameroon

G S Nkar is situated at the out skirt of Kumbo Town North West Province Cameroon. In Nkar village, which is one of the main villages in the region.
Government School (G.S.) Nkar was created in 2001 by the government of Cameroon and provided it with one teacher and no infrastructure. They have averagely 240 children each year. Two teachers are employed and paid by Parents. All school material (benches for the whole school, teacher’s tables and chairs and other didactic material) is the burden of the parents. The school building is being managed by the village parents teachers association. The locally made toilets from bamboo are very bad, inadequate, and dangerous and expose the kids to many diseases due to poor sanitation.

Children Rights Group Int been carrying food program for vulnerable and orphans at G S Nkar School and that was how we came to see the bad toilet situation there.

One of the greatest troubles the school has is poor toilets and this is just one out of the schools in the region.

We shall be grateful if we can launch the toilets project in Cameroon from this school, for us to set a good toilets is shall require:
