yes i visited the project and I thought it was fantastic. The children were very well behaved and were really a way ahead of children of similar age, There language and articulation and their comprehension of concepts were really excellent.

I think this project is good, it's helping orphaned children and it helps children affected by drug abuse. They come there together and get a good education. It is a better place for such children. Even it helps the needy people from the village, how to get education for their children, so that they can have a better tomorrow. I have volunteered as a teacher for four years already and I am still continuing to volunteer here.

I volunteered for a while as a teacher and cook for the kids of Cecil Kindergarten Center. The Cecil Center brings smiles on the faces of children by various activities, as shown by the picture of my daughter who attended several of them. This is a good project and with more support I think it will become an even better place.

I'm a neighbour of Anne and know her project and visited the children. I served them food during the lunch hour. It was a good project and a good experience with the children. They are angels from god.

I've volunteered for this project for three months, teaching Kindergarten 3. I found that the children are very bright and eager to learn, helping the smaller children, etc. They love singing, dancing and asking questions.

I'm Amani and I live in the neighbourhood of Cecil Kindergarten. I have also participated in the HIV workshop organised by Anne Wambua for HIV prevention and awareness within the community. I assisted the school with many things like painting, cooking, making the floor, drawing charts for the children, playing with the children, etc. This project does a lot of good work for my community. I'm starting a youth group to campaign against drug abuse and HIV within the community.

I'm in Mombasa right now with Anne and volunteering at the Cecil Kindergarten. I arrived two weeks ago and we have had so much fun with the kids. It's a good school with active, creative teachers who're all wonderful with the children. We visited some of the children at home. They live in a poor neighbourhood of Mombasa. It's nice to visit them there because the people are all very friendly and joyful, but the housing etc. is often quite bad. It's great that these children get the chance to educate themselves and to work to get a better future. Anne also does small projects for widows in this neighbourhood; the mothers or grandmothers of the children of Cecil Kindergarten. She helps them to get an income by starting a business. Then she has a third project with the youth of this neighbourhood. These young people have meetings about HIV/AIDS and teach others about how to prevent HIV infections. Next week I'll go to one of their meetings. We also went to a park with the children where they could feed giraffes, touch tortoises and see (but not touch) crocodiles. We enjoyed so much. It's amazing how much Anne is doing for these people. Many of them want to work and to learn, and she gives them the opportunity to do so. Because she's a Kenyan herself and because she's known all these families for many years, she knows how to support them. I definitely recommend to support this project and if you have the chance to come here to visit or volunteer then you should definitely come and you will enjoy a lot!
