Continuing to do what I can without any funding is a slow process.

As I go about in the world, it becomes more obvious to me, and I think to many of us, that popular culture is actively engineering greed, conflict, hate, selfishness, consumer brand ignorance, superficiality, licence without conscience or consequence, etc, etc.

It is also visible that, if this goes on, then the world will become worse!

This can only change if we change and if we change NOW.

Outer changes happen because of inner changes.

The world is a result of our states of mind. The world we experience arises because of what we perceive, think, feel, etc.

Peace education is about changing, not just our attitudes, but our understanding.

Invest in peace now and we have a chance to responsibly govern the world to a brighter tomorrow. Invest in The School of Love Awareness and watch peace education develop its out reach.

I have continued to spend time on webdesign myself and the English version of the site is now functionally passable. The German and Italian pages need their translations updating and their entire content transfering to the new structure of the english pages. Spanish and French versions need to be done both in terms of translation and copying the pages structure.

It is very important to have the site / information / service in these languages as not every one understands English. It is neccessary to properly translate the content as utilities such as babel fish do not always give good translation of terms and this defeats the object of education and is therefore not an option.Professionalu can still see them suffer the problem but they are blind to your and the solution.

The site desperately needs optimising as it receives little traffic at the present stage. I am not expert in this area. Its like having a tool you know can help people fix a problem but you cant pass it to them. you can see their suffering but they cant see you have the solution!

The school of love awareness web site is now on line in skeleton fomat.

As previously mentioned, I am not a web designer, and though I learn more and more through you tube tutorials, I am aware that my real skills are not being used here. Ideally I should be teaching Citi-Zen and a desiner should be doing this site work. Its frustrating that no funders have come forward.

The web is THE place where people look for answers and this will only become more the case in our techno age.

I have managed to find cheap recording equipment which I financed from my own pocket and so have deleted the request for this. Better quality eqipment would have been better, but what I have has done the job. I did this to reduce the cost of funding, because I must provide the help for people and to show good faith.

I am now having to focus on my own finacial situation now to clear some bills and cant put as much time into the school of love awarness and citi-zen project because no funders have some forward. I do not understand? I travel around cities and witness on a dialy basis how much hostility, agression, stress, hate, violence, etc there is and how normal this is amongst youth. I see this and it breaks my heart every time. It breaks my heart to know I can help to solve the problems but no one funds me, no one see what I am trying to do. Why? And now I have bills to pay and will have to take some language teaching work to make a living and not concentrate on this project.

The Citi-Zen Foundaiton is not a buisness, its a non profit, non governmental organisation. We have had NO funding to date. Everybody involved works on a volenteer basis, at their own expense.

where are we today with the Citi-Zen project?

Since Christmas I´ve been doing 16 hour days working on the development of teaching materials, books, funding proposals and organising seminars across Germany. I´ve been able to reduce the funding needs somewhat for the web development and recording equipment. This is becuase of the work I´ve done myself and research which has lead me to find slightly more cost effective soultion for the equipment.

No funders as yet have come forward and this is why I have to work so hard. It is very difficult because there are not enough funds for me to really work as many hours as this, but I make it work, at my own expense.

Web presentation is a big need for us because people who look for solutions often begin with internet research. I have taken the initiative and learnt some basic website building myself, so recently I was able to develop the Citi-Zen site quite a lot. It still needs a lot of work though, and there are many important technical things which I cannot do and do not have the time to learn. Without funding I still have to try to make a living somewhere! There are so many people out there looking for solutions to crisis, conflict and stress and I have made a descent amantur effort at a website, you can see it at www.citi-zen-foundation.com  but there is a lot more programing, optisation and development needed for the structure now and for the comming on line course which will allow those in remote areas to have education in conflict resolution, crisis and stress-management who might otherwise be left without solutions.

Several advocates have come forward to support the project. However, in terms of actual funders, my sense is that many people simply do not see the value, need or importance of transforming conflict and stress consciousness. It is ironic that we spend so much money on conflict and stress (see my site for statistics) and we have become quite good at talking about it, but still the concept that; ´the world we live in is a product of our states of mind. Therefore only if we change the quality of our states of mind can we change the quality of our world´, seems to be unclear for many people and therefore unclear in its value. I struggle to communicate this to people before I get a chance to share what my work is.

There are many places of need in the world and I advocate that all needs should be met, but I also advocate that funders not overlook diverse and valid projects because the more obvious ones are, more obvious. First world spaces are just as important as second and third (so to speak) because it is the privileged first world people who create many of the conflicts and stress in the world and export them to second and third world spaces. How will this change unless we change the mindset of first world people. Moreover, it is those with education and financial resources in the first world who make policy and who are therefore the causal power in this situation, how therefore, can it not be relevant to offer these people, as well as all others, especially developing countries involved in crisis and civil unrest, etc, peace education? I pray that people start to take this more seriously. I pray this after having worked for 25 years on the Citi-Zen project and still meet with attitudes of complacency and prejudice toward its reson d´etre and premise. I challenge any one who has questions about what this project is about, to ask me directly.

I am more than happy to discuss my work with anybody who is interested. I am happy to make detailed plans, our history, our work, and funding proposals available to serious parties. There will be transparency in project development, in publication of this and in relation to funders. I am still in need of funding, I am passionate, tired, motivated. I can do more, if I have the time and energy which funds will supply. Please talk to me.

For a few a few thousand euro a complete system of peace education -which is already developed- can be presented and offered to people who are currently in real need. I would encourage anyone to look at my website at www.citi-zen-foundaiton.com and spend some time reading and thinking about what is presented and try to imagine how The School of Love-Awareness can make a big difference to peace through education now.

These are just some honest thoughts, today. No disrespect toward other projects or funders is intended.
