Kabissa (our name means completely in kiswahili) is an online platform, run by volunteers based in Africa, the United States, Germany and around the world, where people and organizations working in Africa maintain their own profile pages, participate in group blogs and learn about relevant tech tools and strategies.
African organizations, especially small ones at the grassroots providing vital community services and courageous advocacy on behalf of their people on crucial issues, struggle to take advantage of the Internet and associated technologies. Regular access to the Internet is hard to come by which leads to people working in organizations not being able to learn useful tech skills or come up with creative ideas for using tech in support of their mission.
The 1550+ African organizations now in our network (and more that join every day as we grow) are strengthened through their improved presence on the Internet and capacity to use tech, which is reflected in the quality and sustainability of their programs.
