Our mission is to provide funding and technical support for project proposals that are generated from those living in underserved communities, and in some way strengthen the community’s HIV education, prevention, diagnosis and treatment programs. We believe that building a healthy community often requires expanding beyond the direct medical services to address needs of the community at large. Through collaborative efforts with experts in various fields, TIP often supports proposals that involve economic development and infrastructure building in addition to direct health care needs. TIP recognizes that many underserved communities are searching for the tools to develop creative solutions for their own unique needs, and that combating HIV at a local level may be different for each community.
