Banyan Tree e.V. is a small, german NGO, founded in 2008. Our main project is a school in Tavong for 270 students. We also support poor families in the village to upgrade their situation. This, however, is not a financial support; we provide them with materials they need to work a family garden. This kind of support takes up more time, yet, it is more sustainable then just donating money.
Beside our main project site in Tavong, we are constantly looking for other projects that also comply with the Banyan Tree concept – education and fighting poverty.
Our statues grant that:
1) All members work voluntarily
2) 100% of the donations will be invested in the projects in Cambodia
3) All spending must be monitored
4) Transparent documentation of spending the donations
