Last October, I committed to run my first marathon in Tokyo on February 26, 2012.
The longest I had run previously was a 10K race 15 years ago.
Since I started my formal training on October 9, 2011, I have logged 308+ miles with a longest run of 16 miles. I also completed my first half-marathon race in Macau in 1 hour and 55 minutes in December as part of my preparation.
In an effort to raise the "mental" stakes and ensure completion, I would like to ask you to consider a small donation to the Tsuagari-Nukumori Project on betterplace.org to make each stride a bit more rewarding.
Thank you in advance.
Brad
P.S. I am running as a designated Tsunagu (つなぐ) Charity donor to help promote and support the program (50% of this year's participants' contributions will be earmarked to fund projects aimed at the recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake; and 50% to charities and not-for-profit organizations engaged in activities that fall under one of the five charity themes of the Tsunagu program. "Tsunagu" means "Connection" or "Solidarity" in Japanese.
