About us:
SAP co-founder and chairman Prof. Dr. h.c. Hasso Plattner provided the lion’s share of our investment capital and is one of our key partners within our international network. To date we have successfully invested in 15 companies with accumulated sales of € 24m.

HPV currently manages two funds:

HPV 1: In 2005 Hasso Plattner Ventures closed its first fund of 50m €, with a regional focus on German speaking Europe (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).

HPV Europe: In 2008 Hasso Plattner Ventures closed its latest fund of 100m €. The investment focus of our second fund will lie on IT and Cleantech investments throughout Europe, including Israel.

HPV Africa:
Our sister fund HPV Africa started operation in South Africa in February 2008 and is equipped with approximately 30m €.

The fund has two essential objectives:

- First: Young businesses are being invested in, which have great potential for speedy growth as well as for establishing themselves in international markets on the account of their innovative products.

- Second: a special investment focus lies on enterprises in the sector of Social Entrepreneurship and on businesses that provide solutions specific to Africa and other emerging markets.

    Having purchased a used motor home we are currently transforming it into a mobile maternity care centre, which will support our medical team in serving the needs of homeless pregnant women in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
