    Aus welchem Anlass warst Du vor Ort und wann?

    I was a member of Project Caravan last year - was fascinated when I first heard about the Project - the combination of the service with the disabled friends and on the other hand the university program! Furthermore the experience to live with a group of young people, learning to act with and within a group made the project unique! As well as the country, the people, the language, the culture,... Everything made the ten months in lebanon so important and special for my whole life!

    The project needs to be spread that more young people have the opportunity to live this experience and that the disabled friends in the country get supported!!

    The time I had in Lebanon with the Caravan are still the best 6 months of my life.
    Not one day goes past without me thinking of either the people I had the chance to get to know, the people I worked with, the country Lebanon, the city Beirut or simply the most amazing times I had!!

    Amazing project! It really shows that helping others doesn't have to be a oneway road. Volunteers and disabled have so much fun together that it's hard to tell who benefits the most.
    And once turned home the volunteers may help to change society's opinion on disabled people in their home countries!

    Getting rid of prejudices and learning to accept differences: living together and respecting each other as sick and healthy, rich and poor, Muslims and Christians. That's Lebanon, that's CARAVAN!!!

    When and why have you been on-site?

    I am currently on site with the project . On the 6th August I started the preparation camp and will remain on the project until June 4th .

    What is your connection to the project or the carrier?

    Caravanista 2011-2012

    The boys and girls deserve the love , care and attention that is so important for their growth . Without this support , they cannot fully prosper and grow . The boys and girls that we love and work with on a daily basis make this project what it is !

    V. Eberhardt hat gespendet vor etwa einem Jahr »It was the best experience ever. 6 months in 2010 in Lebanon helping the disabled, learning about the country and meeting lots of interesting and very friendly people. I have not had the time to go back since but I have this country in my heart and think about it every day. This experience has changed my life enourmously, positively of course! If I could I would do it again. I strongly recommend this project to everyone who still needs to find their way, wants to meet different people or/and those who simply like travelling and serving their neighbour!

    I joined the project in 2010 and I went because as soon as I knew more about the project I fell in love with it.

    Your positive report from New Naccache:

    This project is absolutely amazing! Ever since I was there my heart has been hooked to the country, the disabled, the Lebanese and simply the project in generell!! Not only is it a great experience for anyone that joins but especially is it unbelievably important because of several reasons. On the one hand the christians in Lebanon need to be supported and by being there we accomplish this, on the other hand the disabled in the homes need love, friendship and attention and we, the volunteers, give them exactly that and thus make their lives more exciting. I love this project- everything about it! Please help us and donate, or show your support in another way, we will be very grateful!
