PDH and Children made vulnerable by Aids outing to

We had a very successful outing to the beach yesterday with the children. We all met at PDH centre where we prepared the meal beforehand. The children and staff then took transport into Lomé town and the beach which is about a 20 minute drive. There was singing on the way and lots of very excited children. At the picturesque beach of Lomé we had plenty of space to ourselves to play games which included footabll, rugby, frisbe, skipping amongst other things. Some of the girls were playing a traditional dancing game with the staff which caused much amusement. After everyone had had enough play, we all settled down for our meal. Before serving out the meal we had a discussion about the sea and asking what the children knew about it. Then the food was served out and the children were able to enjoy seconds and some even thirds! As the sun began to set we packed up the things, making sure there was no litter left, and left the beach with big smiles on our faces after what was a great afternoon for all!
