Hi everyone. I am currently visiting Auroville to interview change makers and social entrepreneurs working to solve the challenges in rural India as part of our initiative www.the-glass-half-full.org. When I first arrived, everyone kept telling me I have to meet Anbu and Morris from AVAG, the Auroville Village Action Group, which facilitates rural development and amongst hundreds of projects, this drive for better sanitation. Both Anbu and Morris are truly amazing souls who keep inspiring one person after the other around them to commit themselves in one way or another to this desperately needed work. It's far from glamorous, there is little reward other than personal satisfaction in seeing the men & women of the villages they work in, gain confidence and prosper, and it's true grass roots work where every rupee you donate goes into the project it is meant for.
