Self Dependence Project through Handicrafts.

In order to make the villagers independent and provide employment we started this project to bring out the talent in the locals.
Located in the cold and hilly areas of Himalayas, INDIA the locals were asked by us to collect wild flowers and dry them. We gave them hand made paper as asked them to use their creativity and prepare Greetings cards.
About 7000 people are working in this project.
The workers make the cards and we do the marketing for them. This has benefitted them by enabling them to look after their families using the help earned from it.The prime part of the earnings is now used is to pay for their childrens needs.This in turn has helped them to be self dependent.
Through this project not only individuals but whole of the villages will be benefitted as employment would be generated.
The biggest challenge is to obtain the raw materials firstly the exotic flowers and then the paper.The transport is also a hampering aspect.Overall funds to run the project is a basic needs like for building a card making center.
The Donations would help because them we would more freely provide the raw materials to the villagers and provide for the other basic needs. Weiterlesen
