Travel for peace

Come 2012 kenya will be having general election again though we have the new constitution now and sytems has changed Our leaders have started dividing looking forward for the election and as they do so they start dividing with their supporters and most of the people who get involve are youths who are idle who will start planning bad schemes for the election.After looking on political news now and having experienced what happened in the past election the signs are the same so we decided to have a travel for peace caravan of youths which will move through the country meeting youths and having a new stand as the politicians move all around the country we will be moving around with a message of education and peace.
The project will benefit both the youths,children,women and men.In each stopover where we will have an open roundtable discussions and street performance and talks in schools and colleges we expect to reach more than 2000 people per stop over.People will benefit through learning and hearing from young people from different part of the country who went through bitter times or did not go through it in the last post election violence and also stories from other youths from Rwanda,Burundi,Congo and Uganda.
Our Biggest challenges are finances to hire vehicles which will be able to go all over Kenya even in North Eastern where their is no Tarmac roads and where you can meet wild animals.The donations will benifit this project because it will help the project run smothly. Weiterlesen
