For the first time WEL - Women's Education for Liberation has introduced its work with disabled children in April 2006.
About 30 mentally and physically impaired children come to the WEL day care centre to be trained and guided by various professionals to address their basic needs and develop social as well as fine and gross motor skills. This includes communicating with other children, eating by themselves, walking (physiotherapy) and basic writing and counting.
