  I would like to know how the prepaid internet works.Are there any other alternatives that we may use for our village project?
  
  We can install a solar telephone system but I am not sure how that will function.Help sought with technology to deliver internet at affordable rates to our village.

  The internet works as follows: people buy wireless sticks for their computers (only once, and nowadays most computers have them already in-build); these sticks establish a connection to the local cell-phone network and users are charged on a pay-per-minute basis -- for this they buy credit on prepaid cards (like for their cellphones). The internet rates are comparable to those for cellphone calls. If you need further information please contact me directly.
