Yvonne completed her degree in Southeast Asia Studies in Berlin, London, and Surakarta. Throughout her studies she was exposed to working in the third sector, and continued to work with several NGO’s after her studies.
Till majored business informatics. From 2000 to 2003, he was product manager for paybox. Later, he worked as a project manager for DaimlerChrysler Financial Services.
Henriette studied International Management at ESCP-EAP in Berlin, London und Paris. Next to her studies she worked for the Murmansk humanitarian aid project in Berlin and Russia. Afterwards she has gained professional experience while working in consulting and private equity.
As an Anthropologist and Author, Joana has focused on analyzing the risks and opportunities of cultural globalization. She manages the project team for betterplace, is responsible for the betterplace blog and leads the active group of betterplace Juniors.
Stephan is a Professor of Civil Law at the Viadrina European University, Professor of Mediation at the University of Vienna, co-initiator of the Humboldt-Viadrina School of Governance in Berlin, a practicing entrepreneur and mediator, and advisor to the German government.
Sean started programming from the day he got his first computer in 1986. Later, he studied Environmental System Sciences, before he entered Computational Linguistics and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Osnabrück. From 2006 to 2008, he worked for studiVZ as a software developer.
Hans-Jürgen Cramer studied Business Administration and Psychology and was an executive board member of Vattenfall Europe. Currently, he operates as a consultant and entrepreneur, and a valued supporter of betterplace.org.
Fabian holds a bachelor's degree in media & computer science and currently finishes a master program in human factors. During his studies, he worked for various internet startups in Cologne, Berlin, Madrid, and Chile.
Moritz worked for the German Red Cross and later studied Sociology, Modern and Contemporary History, and African Studies in Berlin. From 2005 - 2007, he worked as a copywriter for Jung von Matt, a communications agency in Hamburg.
Renée majored in Law in Hamburg and Berlin before she worked within the development policy sector for a German Foundation and for the European Commission in Brussels. After a slight detour into the design sector, she joined betterplace.
Viola became lawyer in Hamburg in 1996. After her studies she worked in the legal department of Premiere for two years, followed by working for a law firm. Since 2007 she is lecturer at EMBA and consults betterplace since May 2009 in legal matters.
Jean-Michel worked successively in Paris, London and Barcelona. Since 2006, he has specialized himself in Ruby on Rails with a strong emphasis on testing. In parallel, he is a volunteer for eco-union, a spanish non-for-profit association.
Oliver is founder and board of directors of GRÜN Software AG. For many years he develops Software and Internet platforms for Non Profit Organisations. He built up spenden.de to an online donation platform as a CSR Commitment.
Line holds a Masters in International Development and Anthropology. Grown up in Denmark, Kenya, and South Africa, she has worked for humanitarian organizations in India, as well as in France. From 2000 - 2003 she worked in the cabinet for the EU Commissioner for Development and for Burson Marsteller in Brussels.
Samuel graduated from Leipzig University in American Studies, Sociology, and Journalism. After working for the record label Motor in Berlin, he joined betterplace.org as an intern and freelances as a journalist.
Anja studied Southeast Asia Studies, focusing on microfinance, sustainable development, and international communication. After working in the media as well as on the communication and foundation sector, she joined betterplace.org in 2008, after a long stay in Vietnam.
Bernd has started his career as media manager 25 years ago, which took him up to the board of Bertelsmann. Between 2000 and 2009 he was CEO of Gruner + Jahr.
Axel has a degree in computer engineering. After he graduated, he was a co-founder of A Med-World AG. Thereafter, he became head of IT for the launch and implementation of health portal onmeda.de. Until 2007, he was administrator and webmaster at Cornelsen Publishing.
Arno, being an Economist, has worked in different large media companies. He then became CEO of the holding of Tchibo and Beiersdorf. Today he works for different companies as member of the advisory board.
Tobias is a graduate at HS Pforzheim, studying Business and Marketing. During his studies he gained practical experience while working for kempertrautmann, where he took responsibility for the follow-up campaign of “Du bist Deutschland”.
Josefina graduated in Roman Philology and Educational Science from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. Later, she worked for movie productions in Germany and England.
Matthias is a graduate engineer and holds an MBA in International Business. He worked as a development engineer for DaimlerChrysler AG as well as a project manager for Bertelsmann AG and mobile marketing group YOC.
Jörg is executive shareholder of M10 GmbH, a private investment company in Berlin. While studying Business Administration, Jörg founded denkwerk GmbH and later alando.de AG which was taken over by eBay Inc. He was managing director of eBay Germany for five years.
Stephan is executive shareholder and co-founder of M10 GmbH. After finishing his business degrees, he worked for the Boston Consulting Group in Europe and the US, as well as in general management positions of small and large enterprises in Germany.
Bodo is a designer with a degree from the University of Technology Cape Town. He is partner in a communication agency in South Africa, consulting, amongst others, aid organisations in the region.
Michael holds a diploma in Business Administration and accounted controlling and contract management of an Electric Installation Company in Berlin. From 2004 – 2007 he was a private attorney and commercial director of GIP - Gesellschaft für medizinische Intensivpflege mbH.
Angela studied economics and became a research associate at the Institute for Economic Policy at the University of Cologne. Afterwards, she worked as an analyst for DZ Bank AG in Frankfurt and London.
Katja has worked in the corporate sector for 9 years following her studies in International Business studies. Amongst others, she developed the CSR department of Mercedes-Benz Bank. Most recently, Katja has been a coordinator for a disaster relief organization in Haiti.
